A Complex Sunspot Group
On Sep, 10th, 2023

The seeing was difficult on the second Sunday in September, but with enough tries some of the pictures turned out to be sharp enough for posting. The Solar activity was on the rise in the last couple of months, but what was remarkable on the solar surface here was not so much the number of sunspots and sunspot groups, but rather the complexity thereof.

The inclination of the solar north pole is 23 degrees to the left, so the band of activity in the northern hemisphere should be imagined to be tilted from the outer left to the upper right.
