What started just for doing time until the more prominent object, NGC 7293 rose above the Hohe Wand horizon, ended up in a reconciliation with an object that I had so often in mind of re-shooting. It was really a showcase picture with my refractor back in 2007, but I new my new equipment would really make the difference. Short single exposure frames prevented the center of the cluster to burn out and perfect collimation of the 150 mm newtonian reflector made for pinpoint stars across the entire field of view.
Sorry to say that the prime exposure scheduled for this night - the famous planetary NGC 7293 - ended up in suboptimal quality not permitting to publish. However, a good reason to try again next year...
