Comet ZTF
Comet Designation: C/2022 E3
Constellation: Ursa Minor

After quite a few months of lousy astro-weather I eventually set my alarm clock to 1 am, Jan 30th, 2023.

My astro-photo stuff was prepared in my trunk, well pre-chilled, so I was ready to start the exposures right when I had my setup focussed out there at the hills close to Schrick. When I arrived there, it was perfectly clear sky! And that's when I started 40 minutes of net exposure within an hour...

This hour allowed me to notice the faint appearance to the naked eye. Only a tiny smudge floating above the polar star.

The speed at which the comet moves is reflected in the length of the star trails.
